A Family Legacy Under the Big Top
Taconhy Entertainment traces its beginnings to San Juan, Argentina, 1964 — when Salvador Lopez, one third of the legendary clown trio Taco, Taquito & Tacony, co-founded Circus Tacony with his son Salvador Jr. and daughter-in-law Nelly Rodriguez.
Dario Alfredo Lopez and Carina Viviana Selva carried the tradition forward with their celebrated Malambo and dy-trapeze act, touring prestigious stages including Circus Vargas in the United States.
Today the company is led by Steven Lopez — juggler, producer, and recipient of the Golden Lighthouse Award in Mar del Plata, 2008 — together with his wife Daniela Mercado, a fifth-generation trapeze artist from the Vitale-Spinella family. From Circo Splash to Circus On Ice, their mission is the same: live shows that move audiences.
